I want to be straight with you about something.
I built SageChimp because I genuinely believe the tools readers and authors have been given are not good enough. Goodreads has been coasting for years. NetGalley charges indie authors prices that would make a large press wince. The book community is fractured across a dozen platforms that don't talk to each other, and nobody seems particularly motivated to fix that.
So I decided to fix it. And then I got to work.
This post is a quick rundown of everything that has shipped since launch. Not a roadmap. Not promises. Things that are live right now, that you can use today.
Share Your Reading Life
You can now generate shareable reading cards directly from your dashboard. Current shelf, annual reading wrapped, individual book reviews, badge achievements. Each card generates as an image you can drop anywhere. If you spot the sagechimp.com watermark in the corner, that is intentional and I am not even slightly sorry about it.
Reading Challenges, Done Properly
You can now create reading challenges and invite others to join you. Set one to public and anyone on the platform can jump in. Keep it private and it stays between you and your friends. Both come with a dedicated analytics dashboard so you can track group progress, see who is keeping pace, and figure out who among your friends is definitely going to need an extension.
A Place for BookTubers
There is now a dedicated BookTuber Q&A forum category. If you make book content on YouTube, or you just love watching people talk about books for forty-five minutes, this is your corner. Ask questions, answer them, find your people.
Buy Books Where You Want To
Amazon links have always been there. But readers are not a monolith, and a lot of you prefer to buy from Bookshop.org or listen on Audible. Both are now auto-generated on every book page where those editions exist. One click, right where you want to go.
Publishers Are Here
Independent presses and small publishing houses can now register as publishers on SageChimp. Dedicated profile pages, full catalog management, ARC and free eBook campaigns, an author claim flow, and a searchable publisher directory. If you run a press or work with one, the tools are waiting.
Your Profile, Your Audience
Every profile now supports links to your personal website and your social accounts across Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. If you are building an audience somewhere else, SageChimp should be helping you grow it, not competing with it.
Invite Your People
There is now an invite link right on your dashboard. Share it, and when a friend joins through your link, you earn a badge for it. Which brings me to the next thing.
The Founding Member Badge
The first 500 people to join SageChimp will receive the Founding Member badge. Legendary tier. It will never be available again after those spots are gone, and there is no workaround. If you are reading this and you have not signed up yet, you know what to do.
There is more coming. A lot more. I ship as fast as I possibly can without breaking things, and some weeks I fail at that second part. But I am here, I am building, and I am not going anywhere.
If you have feedback, requests, or just want to tell me something is broken, the contact link is at the bottom of every page. It goes directly to me.
Thanks for being here early. It means more than you know.
