The gold standard in prose
The opening pages of this book ripped me out of my current reality and dropped me back into the autumns of my youth. Bradbury while sometimes wordy and occasionally a bit purple with his prose, is the master of setting and emotion. When you read this you will be transported to another place in another time and it will feel right. Written in 1962 if I recall and yet it feels relevant and impactful in 2026. This is a must read.
