1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SageChimp ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SageChimp. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement. Users under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. SageChimp reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create on SageChimp, including reviews, blog posts, forum posts, and comments. By posting content, you grant SageChimp a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content within the Platform.

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Content must not violate any applicable laws, infringe on intellectual property rights, or contain harassment, hate speech, explicit material without appropriate ratings, or spam.

5. Fan Fiction & Creative Works

Users who post fan fiction or creative works based on existing intellectual property do so at their own risk and liability. SageChimp does not claim ownership of or endorse user-generated fan fiction. Authors or rights holders may request removal of infringing content via our DMCA process.

6. Author Accounts

Authors who use SageChimp to distribute Advance Reader Copies (ARCs), free eBooks, or promote their work must have the legal right to distribute that content. SageChimp is not responsible for verifying authorship or publication rights.

7. Payments & Refunds

Certain features may require payment (e.g., ARC campaigns, book promotions). All payments are processed through Stripe. Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis. SageChimp reserves the right to modify pricing at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Impersonating another person or entity
• Using automated tools to scrape, crawl, or access the Platform
• Manipulating ratings, reviews, or voting systems
• Distributing malware or harmful content
• Circumventing security measures or access controls
• Engaging in spam, harassment, or abusive behavior

9. Intellectual Property

SageChimp's name, logo, design, and codebase are proprietary. Book metadata (titles, covers, descriptions) is sourced from public APIs and belongs to the respective publishers and authors.

10. Termination

SageChimp may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, though anonymous contributions (e.g., reviews) may persist.

11. Disclaimers

SageChimp is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, data accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated recommendations are suggestions only and may not reflect your preferences accurately.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SageChimp and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

14. Changes to Terms

SageChimp reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via the Platform or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
