A libertine tale in the perspective of 17 year old, James Ridner, who, along with three others his age, is kidnapped by a group of bored libertines seeking to fulfill every last bit of their pleasures with the four in the setting of a remote mental facility holding morbid secrets. As time progresses, the four are subjected to copious amounts of psychological, physical, emotional, and sexual abuse by their captors who are defined by their statuses that have allowed them to pursue their vices without consequence. The four must endure this torment; only pleasure is what 'happiness' they will ever feel again. This story criticizes the state, institutions (religion, schools, etc.), and how these hierarchies can get away with their depravities. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of sexual liberation, feminism, and hedonistic desires-all, of which, are present in every last individual.
