A must read for cosmic horror fans

A couple of grieving old men with fishing bond of sorts, embark to fish an unknown river and cosmic dread ensues. Wow, this was the standout read of 2026 for me and I read a lot of fantastic books this year. The prose is top notch, the story is engaging and if you prefer audio books... the narrator is perfect. I read this first and then went to Audible for a listen and the narrator delivered this story like your grandfather telling you a story and it was pure magic. Great characters, strange entities, forbidden magics, ancient god like beings... this book has everything.
