SageChimp reader verdict

Not enough unpaid reviews

The Lamb has no unpaid published reviews on SageChimp yet. That is not enough to say whether the book is genuinely well-liked or amplified by paid/ARC/BookTok hype. Do not treat Amazon, Goodreads, or social scores as SageChimp evidence.

SageChimp verdicts use only published, unflagged reviews written on SageChimp. Organic reviews exclude ARC/incentivized copies (isArcReview). Catalog star averages on other sites are not used. A verdict requires at least 5 organic reviews. We cannot audit Amazon, BookTok, or Goodreads review authenticity. JSON · Markdown

Description

Young Margot lives in the woods with Mama. Margot only knows what Mama's taught her, and sometimes, Mama's cannibalistic urges get the better of her. Together, they take in lost hikers - "strays" as Mama calls them - and make meals of them. But one day, a beautiful, disrupting, and maybe just as dangerous woman enters their hideaway, giving way to what could be another fatal shift.

My recommendation engine told Silence of the Lambs readers to try Matilda

I built SageChimp partially because I got tired of not being able to tell if enthusiasm about a book was real. Separating unpaid reviews from incentivized ones, saying "not enough data yet" instead of inventing a consensus, that is the entire premise of the site. So, there is a certain justice in getting caught doing the exact thing I built the place to expose, in a system I had not thought to check.
