A well written supernatural thriller, if a slow burn. I just couldn't get engaged with the characters. Maybe the fault of the audio narrator, maybe my just needing to read another dark book so soon after the Good Daughter. But it was a chore to finish for me and I'm glad to be onto Liane Moriarty now.
